Role Overview

We’re Lagan Aviation & Infrastructure, THE leader in the construction and maintenance of airport and military infrastructure worldwide. As a Section Foreman you will oversee the delivery of a defined section of works on-site within a larger construction or infrastructure project. Reporting to the Construction Manager or Project Manager, the Section Foreman will also manage site operations, supervising site teams and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards, and driving productivity to meet programme milestones.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid background in civil engineering or construction, and the ability to coordinate people, plant, and materials effectively.

With over 30 years of experience in over twenty countries we are the specialists in the delivery of airside and landside aviation projects for the Military and Civil Aviation Sectors. We operate across all major airports in the UK and Ireland, including logistically challenging regional airports such as those in the Highlands & Islands of Scotland and the Channel Islands. Globally, we have successfully delivered projects in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean.

We’re also a key delivery partner to the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), providing support to the UK Armed Forces at Ministry of Defence (MOD) bases throughout the UK and overseas.

What you’ll do

As an experienced Section Foreman, we’ll support you to develop a rewarding career with us. The focus of your role will be site supervision and coordination, where you’ll take responsibility for the management of a specific section of works, ensuring it is delivered safely, on time, and to specification. You will also work to promote a strong health, safety, and environmental compliance culture on site, ensuring works are carried out in line with company policies, CDM regulations, and statutory requirements.

Additionally, you’ll take ownership of site health, safety and environmental compliance, promoting a strong health, safety, and environmental culture on site by conducting daily briefings, toolbox talks, and safety inspections. You will also work with quality colleagues to ensure all works are conducted to the required quality standards and client specifications and work towards supporting the implementation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and maintaining accurate records.

The role is based initially at RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire.

What you’ll bring

  • CSCS Supervisor card (gold level) or higher

  • SSSTS or SMSTS certification

  • First Aid at Work qualification (preferred)

  • Right to Work and live in the UK. There may be further opportunities to work overseas.

    In addition, you will be able to demonstrate considerable experience as a Foreman / Section Foreman / General Foreman on civil engineering or construction projects (minimum 5 years’ experience) with demonstrable experience of construction methods, materials, and site processes. As a leader you should also have demonstrated leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate site operatives.
